An update....

I am trying to keep everyone abreast of the situation as it warrents. If you want add me on facebook as mark gunn and then go to my groups and add the bowling center as your friend and you can see all the pictures and videos from the media there. I want to thank everyone for their emails, phone calls, and comments. We are working really hard rightnow to get a temporary wall put up this weekend and going to do our best to be open within the next week or so. Please bare with us while we fix our little bump in the road and we will return to being  the states best 24 hour entertainment venue.

Breaking news

As of right now today 1-30-10 the smyrna bowling center will be closed until futher notice. Our ceiling caved in over night on lanes 1 through 15 and the building has to be checked to see if its safe. watch the blog and out website for more details to come.

TO: Bowling Coaches of State Bowling Tournament Participants

SUBJECT: State Tournament Schedule



As many of you are aware, there is a forecast for possible snow, and maybe ice,
beginning as early as Thursday night and continuing into Friday. We have
received numerous questions regarding the schedule of the state tournament
and if weather would cause it to be postponed to a later date or time.
Unfortunately, due to the numerous logistical issues involved (number of
teams/individuals, schedule of the bowling center, etc. . .) we cannot postpone
the tournament.
We have held the state bowling tournament in the past when weather was a
concern, as well as state tournaments for numerous other sports as well.
Safety of the participants, coaches, and spectators is a major priority. That is
why we are contacting you at this point, and urge you to take the weather into
consideration when making your travel plans regarding the state bowling
tournament.

Smyrna Bowling Center turns up the volume on Friday and Saturday nights after 5:00 pm. We are very busy on Friday and Saturday nights. This can vary greatly with the weather and time of year. It's best to call ahead of your visit to check lane availability. From 6 - 10 PM on these nights, bowling is prepaid at the door in order to enter the center.

Sunday night MLK ....

I want to let everyone know that we are open tonight 24 hours and if your thinking about coming in, I want you to know there might be a waiting list when you arrive. This is one of our busiest days of the year. We have several groups booked this afternoon/evening and one group of 20 lanes at 1am. If your driving a distance please call ahead to see if there is a waiting list.

USBC YABA YOUTH LEAGUES

It's that time of year again, our winter YABA league is starting up today and yes the kids are bowling even though it's snowing outside. We will start promptly at 9am so be careful driving to the center. see you there!

With the snow most think we might close but it's not enough snow to worry about so we are OPEN for business. We just ask you to be care full driving to the center.


As for the youth league we are still bowling Saturday morning so come on in and lets have a great morning bowling with our friends.
